Black on top, beige across the lower jacket and burgundy snow pants with black knee and seat panels: Deux par Deux's TEKNIK two-piece in black, beige and burgundy fits boys in sizes 4 to 16 for ski weekends and snowy school days.

The TEKNIK jacket is lined with polar fleece at the back, front and collar and insulated with recycled PrimaLoft®: 170 g in the body, 133 g in the sleeves and 100 g in the helmet-compatible hood that Deux par Deux rates to -30°C (-22°F). Both pieces share a polyurethane-coated fabric rated 15,000 for both waterproofing and breathability, with taped seams at the hood, shoulders, armholes and crotch. Suspenders on the snow pants unclip when not needed, the waistband is elastic, Cordura® reinforces the knees, seat and hems, and snap gaiters keep snow out of his boots. An adjustable snow skirt, a ski-pass pocket on the sleeve and Velcro® cuffs over stretch inner cuffs round out the jacket, and growth room comes from 4 cm sleeve extensions plus a two-level hem on the pants (up to 7.6 cm).

Burgundy mitts or a neutral pair from our kids' gloves and mittens suit this earthy colourway, and long johns from boys' base layers go under the pants on frigid mornings. His toque and winter boots can come from the same label through the Deux par Deux collection, and boys' snowsuits shows other jacket-and-pant pairings.
